Park City Whole Foods Market
This project was a new development in Park City, Utah. I worked with DL English Design (http://dlenglishdesign.com/) out of Pasedena, CA on the design develpment of the project including soffits, materials, lighting, and overall spaceplanning. For this store we tried a modern/retro mix with a nod to the major activity of Park CIty, skiing.
Sign package was also designed with DL English. They also fabricated and installed for this project. As stated above, we tried to incorporate all sides of the Park City community. Skiing is a big part, but there are other seasons and local history we wanted to celebrate as well. With a mix of clean lines, vintage patterns and vibrant colors from nature we were able to create a vibrant and eclectic space.
Some of my favorite elements were of course the real vintage ski lifts that we repurposed as booths for the cafe. I was also really proud of the bar area and chocolate/coffee bar. The stacked wood behind wire mesh was quite a process but in the end it adds a really unique element at the bar.
